Mine is dedicated for a LHD model, but the version you guys need is readily available from them...with, or without the GPS module.

I have read that when you hardwire a dashcam in your car it will invalidate your warrenty. have hardwired my nextbase in my R so am a bit concerned if I have to take it in for any work.

I'll have to ask the dealer about that when I go and collect my GTD when it turns up

Although its hard wired no wires have been cut. It plugs into the fuse box.
Its probably not that different to plugging it into the charging socket.

The GTI/D/R have rear dimming mirrors so sticking that over your mirror is going to render that function useless.

Quite correct...sticking anything over the mirror will do that. I've yet to test it, but I'm led to believe the dashcam mirror has the auto dim as well, but I won't know until I test it.

I have a manual dim/flip switch on mine anyway, so it will be a bonus if it works.  :smiley:

Overall warranties cannot be arbitrarily 'voided'. A manufacturer may refuse warranty service on an item which has been inappropriately maintained or modified by a customer. They can't 'void' the warranty on an entire vehicle merely because a minor modification was made in an unrelated part.
