Start / Stop button lettering coming away...

....one was back when I had my Mk4 R32 and I left it at the dealers for warranty repairs. Later the next day I was driving rather briskly when I had another car come up behind me and determined not to let him pass(I was a lot younger) put my foot down only to get smoked a few miles down the road by my own car.

Wow what are the chances of that? I've read about folk seeing their own car but never being raced by their own car 
You were obviously a bit of a petrol head did you not even notice you had another R32 on your tail, never mind your own car? I can spot them a mile away.
What did they give you as way of an apology?
My work colleague dropped his car off at the dealers years ago and as he was passing mid morning he says he saw his car wheel spinning away from the lights!! According to him he says he demanded 4 new tyres and got them.

It was midwinter and darkish so I couldn't see the car especially because of the xenons on the R32 and I didn't know it was even an R32 until he put his indicator on and I seen the two bulbs.

I got a lovely set of BBS LM's from them. I followed my car back to the dealers and went mental at them. They asked what they could do to rectify the 'problem' and I had been looking to get some BBS wheels(CH's) so I said a set of 19" LM's with tyres of my choice. I don't think the knew how much they were going to be but I had them sign a letter of stating what they were going to get me. I went for a set of Goodyear F1's

This is a know issue and you are being fobbed off by the dealer in a very unimpressive way - go elsewhere and never return - this is an established warranty claim item.

That's a result well done. Its shocking how some places totally disregard other folks property.

The new version actually has very fine links across from the surrounding metal to the points of metal within the 'N'.

Stops the flaps of metal coming away from the button.

Let me see what happens after I have had it replaced.  I will then go back to dealer (A) and ask how they explain what has happened. 

I will at least give them the chance to put things right.
