Until car manufacturers wake up, I would take the Keyless option off, makes it much easier to steal the car now.
The only advantage is they don't have to break into your house to get the keys.

Or put the £300 towards decent GAP Insurance.

Do you want to wait for a replacement car or not have your car stolen in the first place??

Unfortunately this new method doesn't require access to the OBD port.

Do stolen and recovered cars go on the CAT database? If so I rather have a new one.
Also what if the crooks rag your car to bits, will it still feel the same when you get it back?
I personally would go the new car route :)

Depends if its damaged or not.  If its damaged then it will be recoded accordingly

If it's intact and recovered then it won't show on the database. If its stolen, insurance company pays out, and it gets recovered at a later date, it becomes a CAT X

More and more cars are stolen to order these days so they will probably drive it hard for a few miles before delivering it to whoever, which is not much different to anyone else with a performance car 'enjoying' themselves  :undecided:

I would rather they take the car without breaking into my house where myself and my wife are tucked up in bed in.

Having to break and enter a home to get car keys rather than doing everything quietly outside with tech and no potential confrontations is going to put a lot of would-be thieves off.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
