Just Got My Build Week!

Received paperwork by email this afternoon including the reg, which is going to drive me nuts as it starts WV not VW 

As long as Eddie Stobart, their logistics partner can collect the car by Monday i will have the car for next Thursday, so just before Easter

Perfect timing!
A long weekend to get it detailed. I plan to give mine it's first serious wash and polish at Easter

You mean to say that you picked your reg number, my dealer has told me it's done randomly and there's no way of picking, as it's a different system there using, should I go back to them and say something??

Yeah! You were right! Just got Stage 6, my car is in the UK. Feeling worse now, not better - so near and y.........

My hire car goes back tomorrow so i'm going to be a public transport whore for the best part of a week, not going to lie public transport makes me feel dirty!

The dealer asked me to chose (albeit from a short list of numbers) when I bought my Mk5, for the Mk6 I bought one from DVLA.

I've had the same experience as Mustard, picking a number from a short list. I think your dealer is just being a bit lazy, Mezzer. However, you'd be very lucky to find a number that was anything like interesting, so it's probably not worth worrying about!

Same with me every time, pick from about 4 if I remember rightly.

Just got my Build week (very surprised). In no rush, so don't expect to be getting the collection call until Mid May at the earliest (which actually suits me).

Ordered 28th Feb.

Stage 1 "Processing your order" - appeared 1st march

Stage 2 "With the factory" - appeared - 2nd March

Stage 3 "Build Week Confirmed" - appeared 18th March - Build week confirmed for production week commencing 11/04/2016

Just got our 5a notification this morning to say it is has left the factory and is now in transit.

That means it was in build in progress for between 3 & 4 weeks.

Let's hope it's not sitting at Emben for the same time!

What's the quickest anyone has received their car from the 5a notification?
