Picked mine up yesterday. Paintwork fine. Had a keyfob, a flask and full tank of fuel.

Just took it for a good run. I didn't think the PP would be much different but it's like a rocket - maybe just me but it feels like it has much more fizz. Breaks feel about the same as a non PP Gti.

Seatbelt tensioners far smoother, the stereo sound is much better and it makes a higher click noise when I lock unlock  :grin:

The sat nav lady was a little quiet - could hardly hear her over Radiohead  :whistle:

It's got something called car connect/app connect - I think I have to contact the dealer for a code- how much is this I am wondering?

Happy boy - got a cheaper insurance deal too.

Oh the pearl black with tints is exquisite.

Haven't given her a name yet. Thinking Erika after the legendary Erik Gundersen.

One more sleep until collection.
Talking of sleep, mine was disturbed last night by a text from my brother in law letting me know that his mate, who live less than 100 yards from me, had his M5 stolen on Saturday morning.  They broke in through his back door and took the keys apparently.
I could do without text messages like that.

After getting my "in transit" notification email & text on thursday, which it said had a 4 week average delivery to dealer time, this morning I get another email saying the car had started the next step of its journey and now has an average of 3 weeks to delivery to dealer, I never got a text message along with the email, would anyone know that means my car is on a boat on its way to the uk??

I've got the last week of March off work as the last of this years annual leave so hopefully it will be here for some of that but I doubt I'll be that lucky

I'd phone them using the number I posted earlier in the tread.
You are probably pushing it for the end of March but you never know, things may have calmed down in Emden :smiley:

Thanks again Kalimon, I thought I was hoping for too much to get it late this month, would be nice to have some time with the car while I was off work for a few days.

I did see the number you'd posted but had forgot all about it, I think I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what the state of play is.

I really have had enough of the Toyota Yaris I've been driving since I sold my BMW 2 weeks ago
