Well it's finally happened.
My dealer texted me this morning to inform me that my car would be arriving on Monday.
6 hours later he  phoned to tell me it's arrived at the dealers :grin: :grin:
I'm going tomorrow to have a look at it and I've told him that I will take it away untouched including leaving the stickers on.
Hopefully I will get to drive it home at the weekend :smiley:
I've been without a car since 20th Oct so to say I'm excited is an understatement.

Be good to see some pics of the condition it's in when you get it, and the process to get it all cleaned up. I'm thinking of doing this if I go for a clubsport but may get a pro to prepare it, either on day one or at the dealers.

I will certainly post some pics of it with all the stickers etc. As for pics of the cleaning process. I'm probably not your man!
I will be happy if I manage to get it looking reasonably presentable without arseing it up in the process :laugh:

Okay - I'm getting a little miffed!

5B text was received 25th Feb stating on average it take 3 weeks from being in transit to being received by the dealer so in theory my car should be at the very least on a RoRo from Emden given there are at least 4-5 a week to Grimsby.

Have spoken with VW and my dealer both have stated there is nothing they can do nor can confirm the shipping date.

I'm not impatient - honestly!!!

My 5b was on the 20th Feb and my 5c was on the 5th of March.
I collect my car on Monday 14th March so that should give you some idea of the time scale and stop you worrying unduly  :laugh:
My car was 2 weeks at Emden.

5a means it's on it's way to Emden, 5b means it's arrived at Emden, and 5c means it's on the boat and nearing the UK.
Something along them lines anyway :smiley:

I just got a 5a in transit text, I hadn't had any notification it had even progressed to the build stage so I'm quite pleased it's left now
