FYI: got feedback from dealer about the bucket seats retrofit.. they can indeed only be ordered in pieces, and those cost together... 10.000€ for 2 front seats... so that excludes all the working hours. You will also have an issue with the fact they don't have airbags. So indeed; "not possible"

Wow...

So if the resale value will not be what I'm after, I can rip the seats out and exchange them for a profit it seems. VW has certainly made it impossible to retro-fit those new.

Same seats have been optional in VW and Audi for years. Unfortunately, there is also a regular theft of them from vehicles because of the value.

Clubsport without them though? No way!

Agreed. These cars will be high value for thieves once they strip them down for parts. The seats and the steering wheel being the prime examples. Take care of your CS!  Won't be leaving mine on show on the drive as much as I can avoid it.

I've just read the latest Auto Express test of the CS and the car was Deep Pearl Black. Before reading this I had never seen one in the colour before but I think it looks great in black, as it looks more muscular but more subtle than the other colours as the add on bits blend in and it's more discreet. I love the Carbon Grey to after seeing the images of other members cars.

Would like to hear peoples' view of the CS in black?

Still stuck at stage 2.

It was a toss up between black and white for me.  White won, but only just and each time I see a black one I wobble and I wonder whether to change.  The thing is I'm an old codger and white is easier to look after.

Thanks Trev
I know black is a PITA and that is the reason I ordered silver. I think silver suits the MK7's lines but I will change my order to black - current GTI is black and it looks great for the 5 minutes it's clean but it a challenge.

Can anyone please comment on the throttle response of the CS compared with the GTI. I currently have a pedal box on my GTI and it's a great product and most on here agree but I am wondering if it is a needed on the CS. I am thinking/hoping VW has improved the responsiveness throughout the throttle range as it is a more focussed car?
