absolutely great tip. Thanks!

There's also a DIY video to help with installation and all in all it doesn't seem very difficult to do on your own.

A few days of ownership and im loving the Ed40. Love the feel of the drive, it just feels different to the previous Gti , and that was great, ive had a lot of attention in the small town where i live which is a good and bad thing, The seats are comfortable, but they do make a creaky noise, any one else notice that, i also have a slight rattle , vibration noise i think from the passenger side somewhere when driving on rough road, other than that, superb

Would anyone be prepared to get there hands dirty and measure the diameter of the front and rear anti roll bars? Curious to know what VW did and whether they increased rotation with just a bigger rear bar or both changed

Might be able to do that soon when I get the car on a ramp. Have to remember to get the caliper with me...

Haven't noticed any creaks from the seats, is it happening all the time? Maybe has to do with really bad quality road? My only issue so far the bass thing.

Joe,

Remember Zenons only become standard in Ireland for the 142 ( 2nd half 2014 ) plate over here.

It wouldnt surprise me if they remove them as standard for the upcoming facelift model but hopefully VWI have turned a corner and will continue the decent spec of MK7 as standard.....?

Douglas lad, congrats on the CS, were Zenons and Brescias standard on the Irish CS or did you need to add as part of the '162' campaign?

Zenons are standard in Ireland but the Brescia's are just an option. I went with the standard Belvedere's as I prefer them and will probably purchase a set of Pretoria's at a later date. The €162 option just includes Dynaudio and App Connect, Sat Nav Pro is just €571 if you go for the €162 option.

Yea only get noise when im on a rough road, but if you sit in the Recaro's and wiggle about, push yourself back in them, there is some noise, not enough to bother me, certainly when my music is playing

Took the wife out this morning for a spin, and we have located the culprit of the noise, its the area where the armrest used to be lol, its not a cupholder, something in there is rattling, so i will have to try and dismantle to have a look...

10 minutes later and all it was is a little cover over a screw that was loose and vibrating, just behind the seatbelt clip, so took it off, went for a drive, no noise, happy days

My Bad.!! Confusing my wheels, i meant Belvedere's.!! 😄

Any photos? I saw you uploaded some but i believe we need to register to view. Try photobucket?

I love the fact VW are now naming some of their wheels after Kent/ Medway towns like Dartford and Belvedere. Looking forward to 19" Thamesmead and the 20" Erith..! 😀

Thanks, would be good to know what is meant in the press release other than "moving roll stiffness rearward".  They all said the same thing without explaining how they did it, and although they claim to stiffen the springs 10% and match the dampers this alone doesn't shift stiffness rearward so would be good to see what VW decided was workable with the MQB platform before I look to change things.

It could be they just kept the front bar the same and changed the rear, or changed both but revised the size ratio front to rear.
