I think Silver is stunning and would have been my 1st choice had my nipper not convinced me to go white

I am sad too as I have ordered silver with the standard wheels but after seeing the pictures of a silver car posted yesterday I regret the colour choice albeit I think silver looks better with the standard wheels than those optional ones but tempted  to change to white as the photo posted by Jan looked amazing.

I believe that white is now standard in the uk at least according to the configurator so I will save some money too!

I think colour choice will influence residuals on these cars. Interested in your views??

Thanks!

For clarification: the colour is Oryx white, with black roof.

Things I regret (already): no bucket seats (I took leather because I was afraid the buckets would be to short for proper head protection, as I am quite tall) + no Xenon/LED daylights.

For the rest I am more than happy!!!

A shame really that VW Belgium (and Sweden) have not included the Bi-Xenons in the standard equipment as VW UK. I was contemplating on them for some time as it's probably one of the most expensive options, then every Clubsport I saw (on the internet) had them on and looked really nice so I figured I'd bite the bullet and throw them in the specs list. But I understand one may skip them in an effort to keep the total cost down.

Post-delivery I haven't regretted it at all, best lights I have ever had on a car (maybe that does not say much as it's the first car I spec with xenons anyway) and they include cornering functions and auto levelling (the first day I was scratching my head where the heck is the light level switch ) which kind of explains the price. Interested to see how they standard ones look on the car if you don't mind and can post a pic of them.

Buckets, well, if there ever was one option that had to be ticked on the Clubsport it's them imo. Not only they increase the car's exclusivity and uniqueness as they are not an option on any other MK7 Golf, but you could probably make some good money out of them in the future if you wanted to sell the car as they are almost impossible to retro-fit. Way too expensive and they only come in pieces which means yet some extra cost. They are already much sought after in forums. But at least you got the leather!

The bucket seats was one option I did not tick and went for the standard seats instead, cost was not the issue but simply imo the standard seats are more practical and match the rest of the interior better than the bucket seats, I'm not too keen on that black gloss section at the back of the seats and suspect will be difficult to keep from getting marked and scratched.Furthermore with the buckets you lose the centre armrest plus the rear passenger heater/vents as well as the side airbags and storage box beneath the seat, also easy entry is only possible with the standard and leather seats which is necessary for the 3 door version which I have ordered. I know I am very much in the minority and the bucket seats are the popular choice but as they say everyone to their own.

I didn't order the seats originally, as I thought they compromised too many things as mentioned like the ambient lighting, armrest etc etc.

However, I thought about it and agreed its a defining feature of the car so added them later.

Also I saw that easy entry was added to the bucket seats on MY17 changes, at least that's what I could make out, and I have a 3 door coming too, so will have to see.
