That's a proper GTI, really like those wheels too.

No offense but I was literally going to write "worst color, worst wheels"  :embarrassed: I don't think there's another paint+wheel combo that ruins the Clubsport looks more than this.

Of course "to each his own", "we're all different" etc.

Imo those wheels look like they belong on a Qashqai or Juke or something...

^ ^ This one Jan DR has posted looks nice

I thought they were snatched from a Beetle in the beginning, too playful, too funky (or too silly in a sense). Defo not the serious sports wheel I'd expect to see on such a car. Not to mention they're an incredible 4kg heavier than the stock Belvederes...  Want to hear something even worse though? VW OZ has chosen them as standard on the OZ Clubsport. Clubsport buyers over that side of the world are really brave people

I thought the whole point of the Clubsport was so it was lightweight? The 18's look perfect on it.

I wonder why the Clubsport S has 19's (prets) - over 18's, is it something to do with the tyres/width?

Really not a fan of Austins (GTI) , or Cadiz (R) - GTD definitely got the best looking standard wheels - i'd rather have those shown than either of the aformentioned.

I noticed the you can configure the GTI in USA with Nogaros now.

I've got Nogaros on my GTD, but really want a GTI with Austins for my next car, but then you always want what you haven't got.

I've gone with Bresicas as I'm fed up with looking at forged wheels all day and not a big fan of the standard wheels.

To my surprise they seem to fill the arches pretty well, also the car sits on a perfect height for my like. Low enough to look great but not look like it's been lowered.

Definitely has to do with the tyres. The 19" Sport Cup 2 is a killer on the dry. The Pretoria may be 2kg heavier than the Belvedere but it's also 0.5" wider and paired with that tyre it more than cancels out the weight deficit of stock wheels+Bridgestones.

The obvious question is though why not a 18" PSC2 on the light-weight Belvederes? Maybe the engineers decided they absolutely needed that extra 0.5" of width and the lightest available wheel was the Pretoria at 19". Do VW make a 18x8 wheel? If not it could be the answer.

I am sad too as I have ordered silver with the standard wheels but after seeing the pictures of a silver car posted yesterday I regret the colour choice albeit I think silver looks better with the standard wheels than those optional ones but tempted  to change to white as the photo posted by Jan looked amazing.

I believe that white is now standard in the uk at least according to the configurator so I will save some money too!

I think colour choice will influence residuals on these cars. Interested in your views??

I'd stick with silver if it was me,I think the previous pics of the clubsport especially the one from behind with the dark light clusters really suit it.
