I know I'm going against the trend. I'm convinced now that I want one. Car wow are giving some discount. Took it to my local dealer who said they will look at matching.  However they are saying that the car isn't on the finance system so having to go back  Tommoro.  I am asking for a relatively high spec. Anyone had luck with vw matching?

I can't see it listed on carwow??

For the CS to be the same price (pretty much) as the R and feel a bit special as well as reasonable value for money, it should've come with unique 19" wheels, the bucket seats and big Brembo brakes as standard.

Do agree with this .. Should have been differentiated better with some proper hardware rather than just marketing.  I do really like the look of it though but not sure I could bring myself to spend that much on it when I could have a PP Gti for a lot less, or a used one for even less.

Carfile claim 8% (not on website yet) and £500 loyalty if you have a VW.

Not too bad, but you can't get the £1250 PCP deposit....yet.

If you could with that then I'd be in, but as it is now an R is in the lead.

Hi. No it isn't on. However I simply speeded up a gti. Then messaged each one so what I really wanted. Most said that they couldn't discount at all.

I've been told its limited to 1000 cars- can anyone confirm this?

But as many have said already the R + discounts is too tempting at this price range.

Does anybody know when the standard spec of the R will be improved to match the "normal GTI"

Just had this email from the dealership I have paid a holding deposit to

They have just released the Golf GTI Clubsport for ordering!

There is only 1000 units being produced for the whole of the UK and orders are on a first come first served basis.

I have attached the sales brochure to this email for you to have a look at.

If you would like to place an order, please let me know ASAP before all the build slots are taken.

Best Regards

Compare the price list on standard spec you are looking at 250 difference between r and clubsport. Is it worth it I don't know. By the time you spec seats and pretorias And other items like keyless and you are at over 36k.
