I was all up for getting a clubsport a while ago, but the price is so close to an R albeit with a detuned version of the same engine and no 4WD, what exactly are you getting to warrant the price apart from the limited edition factor. If any of the options such as bucket seats, wheels with sports tyres or other options were standard, then it may be a more attractive purchase. But if I had bought a clubsport, I suspect I would have a niggling feeling I should have bought an R for only a couple hundred more. I am not dead against the clubsport as it looks like a great car, it's more the price V's standard options and Golf R price that stops me getting one.
