That is a lot for the car that is closer to the GTI than the R. I really am interested in the car but the pricing of it has really put me off. The deals you can get on the R seem to be better value.
I pulled the trigger on a heavily spec Golf R, in combination with a good part-exchange deal with discount I saved around £6,000.
On UK roads the Golf R is the better car having 4WD.
So with the GTI CS it's all about the looks and sharper track performance.
Comparing the DSG 5dr R vs GTI 5dr CS, the Co2 is similar.

I've got a dilemma now.
The R isn't an option for me.

So let's say a CS with seats and big wheels is £33k  do I jump into my wifes 235i and run that or sell that for around £30k and spend extra getting in to the CS

Why isn't the Golf R an option?
Personally I'd keep the BMW or for a heavily discounted GTI PP.
The GTI CS is too much like the GTI.

Both of those statements are questionable

I'd guess if he's had an S3 recently he won't want something so similar.

The S3 took an age from build to delivery and when it arrived it was a massive let down.
I sold it 3 weeks later. I paid for the seats in that one too lol.

My GTI7 PP was a brilliant it's the one I wish I hadn't sold.
I'm not too keen on the BMW if I honest, but I don't think I can sell it to add money to buy another golf.

Maybe I will sell it and buy another 7 PP via DTD

I though the CS would be a couple of grand more, maybe £30k tops inc seats.
Then I though the residues would be good. I'm not sure now.

Well, at the indicated price level, that should make the car very exclusive!

AS it is the edition 40, are VW pricing it to the point where they only sell 40 cars? :)
