Recommended on the road price for 3dr CS is £30,850 and recommended on the road price for 3dr Golf R is £31,250! By the time u add the decent seats plus 19" wheels your well over what the R would cost.... Only on April fools would VW have the gumption to release this pricing list

Oh my god ! £3,400 over the GTI  then you need to add the seats.
That's miles more than I though it would.
You can get 16% off a GTI via DTD I wonder if they will add the Clubsport to there site ?

That is a lot of money.

I knew Volkswagen would find it hard in terms of the prices when the GTI PP and R are already so close price wise.
As I said before, the hardcore GTI loyalists will buy the GTI CS.
Golf R for me! :)

That is a lot for the car that is closer to the GTI than the R. I really am interested in the car but the pricing of it has really put me off. The deals you can get on the R seem to be better value.
On Order - Mk 8.5 Clubsport Pure White, Queenstown, DCC.
MK 7.5 R Pure White, Pretoria Silver, DCC, Rear Camera.
Gone - MK 7 GTI Carbon Grey, Rear Camera, Service Pack.
Gone - MK 6 GTI  Reflex Silver, Monza Shadows, RCD 510, Rear Camera, Bluetooth, Tyre Pressure Sensor, Xenons Convenience pack, Service Pack :)
Gone - MK 5 GTI Reflex Silver, Monza II 18's, Luxury Pack, Mulitchanger

That is crazy pricing, and options on top

Back to the R option I think.
