Having seen this in the flash and now sat in one I can say if feels special, the wheel feels great as do the seats, I like the look of it and thing it will look best in white, red or silver

Love the rear spoiler, not sure how pristine the gloss back bits will look in a few years

Missed opportunities for me, four pot brakes and some lightweight 18s

If there is a daft lease deal a more door would tempt me

Its a shame if you have the buckets no ambient lighting in the doors, sill strips and I think overhead red lights, but I don't think its a deal breaker.

Still some discussion over the centre console though it seems, we know you can't have an arm rest with the buckets but first customer car here, has no blind over bottle holder area, when all show cars had. Looks a bit basic to be honest without.

No easy access system to rear with buckets, but not sure how big an issue this is, we have a 3 door and a child (7 years) and I'm not sure for the odd times we have 3x in the car, folding the seat back and pulling the lever forward under the seat would be an issue. I used to do this all the time in my first Ford Fiesta's and coupes etc

Looks nice in Silver.

Is it me or do the exhausts look bigger than the std GTi? Might just be the angle?

If they'd told you that they'd done it to reduce weight then you'd be all over it.

So just think of it like that, weight reduction ;-)

Looks great, love the seats and alcantara but no red lighting strips on the sills and doors? Come on VW, sort it out! It's the little touches that make these cars special.

This car is a complete waste of time IMO. It's basically a detuned R and what's the point in that given it will only be about a grand less and not have AWD.
