I hope the interior makes it something special.

Based on the photos, I don't like the wheels. front bumper additions and can't get over excited about the rear spoiler.

The single black stripe looks like insulation tape and I can't see myself fitting red wheel badge additions to mine.

Is it just me, who finds the additions a little fussy over the standard car?

I love the front bumper, not too sure about the Clubsport tape on the side but those wheels I love them. I also love oryx white as well. I wasn't too sure about it until I got my CC and on a sunny day the colour looks fantastic.

That said I ordered my GTD in LSG knowing that we will get the Clubsport in oryx white(if we get it)

You have to remember though that all other Editions have just been a trim and ECU tweek, at least this has something more, with the suspension, (small areo) and more major power hike, it had a somewhat small but at least development programme, whereas the ED35 or ED30 did not. Can't remember on the 25.

As Clubsport pointed out, the 30 and 35 had different engines and larger turbochargers. The 25 used the 180PS version with a 6 speed gearbox from the lesser powered TT, Leon 20VT/Cupra and Octavia vRS (this was 5 speed, byt still the same engine) Again, this 180PS engine had some different internals, VVT and turbocharger.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Watched the video and pretty underwhelmed.  Not a big fan of Alcantara trim - it gets grubby over time.  Prefer the check fabric on regular GTi seats.  Still think the Ed30 was the best upgrade on a regular Golf GTi.

Having seen this in the flash and now sat in one I can say if feels special, the wheel feels great as do the seats, I like the look of it and thing it will look best in white, red or silver

Love the rear spoiler, not sure how pristine the gloss back bits will look in a few years

Missed opportunities for me, four pot brakes and some lightweight 18s

If there is a daft lease deal a more door would tempt me
