I've just had my second yearly service and have done just over 18,000 miles. My car was fitted with Bridgestone Conti's and the fronts were replaced at 11,400 miles. The garage phoned to say the front nearside tyre only has 1mm of tread in the centre with 3mm outer and inner. The offside front has 4mm across the tyre and the rear's are down to 3mm. They can give no explanation as to why the tyre wear should be so severe on the nearside front. I check the pressures monthly and the only other explanation is this wheel, and the nearside rear is very slightly buckled, possibly after hitting the many potholes we are afflicted with in Dorset. I decided to change the tyres to Michelin PSS but wondered if anyone else has suffered a similar tyre wear problem?
