Footwell lights - How many?

it was me. I swapped the footwell Led's on my R as soon as I got it as in my opinion the White Led's ruined the blue ambiance of the the door and sill trim 
You will need 2 of these.
Part No:  V7L0 947 415 They were £9.16 each last March

Oh yeah! Love those.  That's the next purchase then.  What % have you got them set to?

Brilliant!  Cheers JB, much appreciated.  Did you order them from TPS? 

Am I right in assuming the above holders come with white bulbs that'll I'll need to switch for blue LEDs from eBay?  Any link to the LEDs you bought?  Finally,  any pics of your blue foot wells?  Sorry for all the questions.

I ordered from my dealers parts dept. As long as the stuff you want is in stock at VW's warehouse it will be delivered next day. Yes, Led's were ordered from eBay and still going strong £5-6 for four Led's P&P free

That's really great, thanks for all the info and link.

The blue footwells really do add something that's currently missing.The white light is a bit too cold and harsh. I like the little mods.

No problem    that's what forums are for. I love the Blue glow in mine now. I think VW should have done this from the outset also think the Stainless Steel sill trims should have been standard too as it was a massive scuff target without them.

Haha, see what you've done now?  Sill guards are next on my list after footwells!  The standard blue lit ones are pretty but not enough to protect from scuffs as you say, and as I have a gravel driveway, little bits of stone are a nightmare for getting caught underfoot and marking the sills.

So next question - which sill guards did you buy? Seen some black ones on a post a while back that looked good.  Can't find it at the moment.

I think Sootchuckers fitted the Teflon ones. I had them on both my Scirocco's and they are really hard wearing. The still looked like new when mine went at 3 years old.
