Hi all,
Been struggling with a misfire ever since i bought the car almost 2 years ago. So much other stuff has needed sorting in the mean time.
Anyway, engine splutters between 3000/3500rpm.
The previous owner whacked a K&N on it and I'm thinking the engine is running lean because of it. I'm not the best, mechanically speaking, but am I right in thinking that if you stick an aftermarket filter on, the engine needs to be calibrated to cope with the added airflow?
Anyone else had problems with this? I'd love to put the original filter back on but that's going to be no easy job as i'm missing a ton of connectors etc.
First of all, blaming the filter...does this sound like a legit cause of the misfire?
