Dsg problems

Hi i have a mk6  dsg gti and have been having a few problems with the gearbox. Sometimes it's doesn't select reverse straight away and recently the gear number in the top right of the dials goes off when it doesn't select reverse. I am from Manchester and if anyone can help me please with some feed back. Cheers

You''ll need to get it scanned for fault codes to see if any are stored.

On my MK5 I had a problem where the gears on the display wouldn't change (but the box changed up and down fine) and they were just highlighted in red. That problem was rectified with a new gear selector module.

Could be several causes...

I've had the engine read and there's no fault codes come up, the box changes up and down fine it's just going into reverse and then a slight bang into drive. I've been told the mecatronic unit is going if it's doing this and wondered were to have it  Refurbished. Cheers mate
