The wheels on that red one look like R Pretoria's?

Its a test car mate so they fit something from the VW parts bins to get the job done. Sometimes they fit odd wheels and allsorts to the car tbh

That red has got me sitting up. That is the colour I want this in (if I am able to secure one)

I really hope they do a 5 door as we are hoping to increase the size of the family soon fan a three door with a young one and a baby wouldn't be feasible.

I know it's not a major consideration, but any ideas why the fuel consumption is so rubbish?  34 mpg makes the R with 40 mpg look positively frugal.  34 mpg = 25-28 in the real world.  These figures look like the previous EA113 motor.

I  even like the spoiler, but hate those wheels.

I sincerely hope you don't hate those wheels as you're due a set - they are definitely Prets, probably the reason your R has been taking so long (maybe that's why you hate them).
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Also this one doesn't appear to have the ACC sensor in the front bumper
If its a pre production mule then it wont have the acc sensor. None of the first demo 7's over here had acc sensors either but the production ones did. I'd be amazed if it didnt have it all.

There#s always the possibility that the ACC sensor is housed in the VW badge as it is on the Passat - more likely though is this mule doesn't have it on.

Was referring to the wheels on the white Clusport in the original post.   I know the wheels on the red CS are Prets.  Have lost no love for them despite the wait.  Sorry to disappoint you.

The CS looks superb in red with the black gloss roof and accents, and if I was going to go for one (which I'm not) that could tempt me away from my usual favourites - DBP or CG.

German cars don't have ACC as standard, so no Radar. Same as when we saw the first mk7's come out.

Apart from the ride height and possibly some things being options for us in UK, that's what your going to get. Its not shopped.

As Graham says ^^^^^

This (as with previous anniversary models) is a Leon Cupra engine, so look at the emissions and economy stats for that engine.
Leon Cupras tend to have detuned R engines (allegedly detuned at least, I've seen graphs that suggest otherwise).
It's easy for VW to drop an already type approved engine into an identical chassis from another marque under the group umbrella and have been doing so for decades. The original GTI having an Audi 80 GTE engine with slightly different ancilliary bits to fit a transverse chassis for example.
Note the air intakes on the GTI CS in more or less the same place as the R and no fogs just like the R because of this, which is mirrored in the Cupra.

As Dave says, the radar is missing from the CS just like on the launch GTIs as its a worldwide unveiling and the ACC isn't standard in all markets. The radar will make the front end look even more busy so it's omitted from press launch shots. No doubt it will be standard in the UK as per the rest of the range.

It's quite likely the bucket seats will be pretty much the same seats as the optional ones on the Leon Cupra too, just with different fabric obviously.

Unlike the edition 30 and 35 at least the CS will have the Cupra's brakes too (same as PP, 7R, S3 etc).
