Buying 2010 GTD with high mileage
« on: 18 August 2015, 18:07 »
Looking to purchase an early 2010 DSG GTD with around 100k miles on the clock.

Is there anything I should be wary of?

The timing belt is going to be changed if I decide to purchase, however I am uncertain as to any other issues that occur with them, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Had one for nearly 3 years, couldn't fault it. Suppose as long as it has a FSH should be ok. DPF filter? with the timing belt i suppose water pump. Other than that...err...check the air filter for some residual moon dust..well it does have 100k on the clock.
Audi S1 gone, awaiting 1.5tsi r-line, pan roof, led lights front and rear, active dash, 18" jurva alloys and a dealer fitted Oettinger roof spoiler in tornado red.

As above, just make sure it has a good service history and regulars oil changed. Nothing too major to go wrong with the GTDs.
