Hi all I haven't been on here long but I have a 1.8T, I have had it for a few weeks. One of the first things I did was change the NSF wheel hub and bearing (garage fitted) about a week later when driving on the motorway I slowed down from about 70 to 60 and there was this weird wobbling sensation in the wheel and my passenger could feel it too, it makes a deep throbbing sound when it wobbles. The weird thing is when I turn the wheel even slightly to the right it doesn't do it at all but if I turn slightly left it makes it worse. I had the wheel of and checked the brake, it is old and has a hefty lip around the edge but is still straight, one thing I did notice that was different from brakes I have seen before is that there is no screw holding the disk in place, is this normal for the 1.8T??? the car does sometimes feel like it is very slightly moving from side to side when turning left as if the wheel is loose but it is definitely very tightly on! I will attach some pictures that I took, hopefully someone can help me out....Please!
p.s I have used the search on loads of forums but no one has seemed to have solve it so I hope that someone with a better mechanical knowledge can point me in the right direction for my case.
Thanks!!
