I'm far from wise Ms. B, but it was 25 years in June that I was dragged kicking and screaming down the aisle so I must have done something right not to have been booted out by now! I think it's my agony aunt role to the 'women of a certain age' at work that has earned me most of my stripes though
My workplace is like a REAL soap opera at times.
But I meant soap opera in a nice way for your car order, same with MH's it has kept everyone gripped with the plot twists and turns and the emotional roller coaster. More of a light hearted northern soap opera with a bit of dry humour that wins people's hearts than a miserable East End soap opera!
This place is pretty good. Like you'd imagine Golf owners to be really; nobody really has anything to prove, everyone chips in with questions and advice, plenty of humour and quite good self moderation (gives James an easier ride!)
That gives me an idea for another thread...
Back on topic.
Blimey Rebecca at this rate I may have sold mine before your arrive
I have booked a reconasense trip to the Frankfurt motorshow to review replacement options
I have a sudden feeling of deja vu, you're nothing if not a bit predictable Mr W!
Well your menopausal lady colleagues are very fortunate to have you in their midst, as are we (men and women).

I'm not going to ask, but I'm now intrigued as to your job (and your father's).
Much belated congratulation to you and Mrs Ex on your 25 years.

It's quite an achievement by today's standards, so whatever you have been doing for the last quarter of a century

, keep doing it. Me and my long suffering man have managed 24 so far, but somehow we forgot to tie the knot along the way, lol. An actual marriage ceremony is not my scene, can't be doing with all that palaver, and could spend the money on a car instead.

And 24 years ago is roughly the last time I watched a soap opera. But, yes, better a northern one with a large dose of very dry humour, that doesn't take itself too seriously, than the abject misery of the East End alternative. I'm afraid the first few notes of that theme tune make me want to reach for the razor blade!!
This place is truly great, and James is the best kind of moderator, although I think we need to chuck in the odd rogue thread /post now and again just to make sure he's paying attention.

And back on topic

.......wigit's Frankfurt beano - well, he's carrying out a valuable mission on behalf of all of us. It's a dirty job but wigit's got to do it.
