Hi All,

The car: 1991 Clipper with a 1999 1.8t AGU Engine fitted.

Passed the MOT yesterday but still stank of fuel =/

I had some fun with VagCom yesterday and I got some readings I just don't understand - I think there's something way off with the Lambda sensor but I have no idea which one is which. Also there are 2 temperatures...???

Outputs are below...

Any help?

P.s - not sure if this in the right forum

First off the MOT means nothing to do with the engine, it just ensures road worthy / emissions.

read the fault codes off it with VCDS then post them here.

16885 - Vehicle Speed Sensor (G22): Implausible Signal

01247 - Activated Charcoal Filter (EVAP) System Solenoid Valve 1 (N80)
26-10 - Output Open

18259 - power train data bus:
Missing message from ABS controller
P1851-35-00

None of the above exist on the car anymore - no other fault codes.

Just clearing the faults doesnt mean the faults gone, clear the fault drive the car about see if the fault comes back

anyway 01247 could be a fake so ignore,

So looks like an ABS fault, but that ays to me you should have an ABS light on your dash which is an instant MOT fail

Read the ABS module and check for fault, Check fuses aswell

Faults were cleared the day before picture was taken, the same three remain.

Prehaps I need to be more clear, as per my original post, the car is a 1991 conversion - it has never had ABS so the module cannot be read as it no longer exists hence why there is no ABS warning light to fail the MOT. I am aware of the speed sensor fault, this is part of the ABS system... which does not exist... The charcol sensor, i'm also aware of this fault.. because the charcol filter also no longer exists.

Fault codes on this occasion are not going to help me

The purpose of my post is to find out from anyone who knows, why my car is telling me that the lamda is reading at 25%, and why there are three different readings... If there's three sensors on the AGU.. where are they?

If the moderators feel this would be better suited in 'The Garage' or in the VagCom forum, please let me know
