Ok so finally, and I mean finally, apologies for taking so long to getting round to doing it, but I have finally given the ol' DA a whirl.
Start with one DA attachment and a drill that has seen better days:

(excuse the mess I live on my own so, ya know

)
Once the car had been cleaned, using the Deep Crystal car wash, which by the way smell gorgeous, and dried with my wo-wo cloth (thank you Neil) I proceeded to firstly use the yellow pad and polish.
I have to say it was a lot easier to handle than I first thought, maybe more unruley with a powerful drill but with my cheapo model it was fine, the second handle made it a doddle.
Shortly after going over the whole car I proceeded to use the black pad and wax, before then using the compound one (red) to clean my windscreen which has been a mahoosive pita since apply that G2 crap or whatever its called, im sure there are plenty of horror stories on here about it but still I used it, never again tho. Have to say the windscreen is very clear now, but we will have to see how it gets on throughout the week.
Here's the end result:

I wouldn't say showroom finish as its got some autobahn speed stone chips in it, but overall very shiny, shame I work on sites, so this will be ruined by breakfast time Monday

Pro's:
+More shine for less effort
+Compound on diamond cut wheels, ill let the results speak for themselves but this result alone makes it all worth it imo.
Before -

After -

(really makes a difference to the black, not as much in the silver)
Con's:
-Did it make it any quicker for me? No. It may have produced a better result but ive never spent so long on a car, im more of a quick wipe kinda guy and this has made me enter new shiny ocd territory.
-Cant really see where ive been, car is white I suppose this hasnt helped, but I may have used more product than I should just regoing over areas.
Overall though, very happy with my purchase, reckon ill make this a once in a month thing with quick wipes and waterless washes in between.
