My Superchips stage 1 only ran 221bhp on a roller I trust and the midrange in meeehh, average at best, but does feel standard, which is ......nice i guess.

My Revo ran 274bhp on the same roller and mid-range is brutal (if you want it). Number dont mean that much to me either, but you can defo tel the difference in 30-50bhp in the mid-range.

It can feel standard when you want it, but if you want a bit of fun and let all hell brake loose then Revo is your map.

I cant knock Superchips, it is what is it. Its a nice linear average map which you can remove when you want.

That's why i got them to overwrite the Superchips map, the Revo figures were up on the Superchips and when the offer was on i went for it. As said before on my diesel it felt as if the maps were mixed up. I now have an even spread of power with the Revo map. Both good. The bluefin device handy, for taking into the dealers for servicing or if you sell the car. I take it if you could sell the bluefin with map on secondhand?
Audi S1 gone, awaiting 1.5tsi r-line, pan roof, led lights front and rear, active dash, 18" jurva alloys and a dealer fitted Oettinger roof spoiler in tornado red.

This forum has gone crazy recently. There is no way on this earth you should choose Superchips over APR.

If you have the money get APR, or if you wait 4-6 weeks and wait for Revo's summer sale you can get one of thiers for cheap.

the ONLY plus side superchips has is that you can load and remove it your self, thats it!!. Plus me and few other have had problems when fitting and Cold air intake, it causes a flat spot in the rev range about 4k rpm, thats why i sent mine back and got a full refund after a month, google it mate.

There are pros and cons for each system, I have heard of people in the USA having burnt out ECUs with APR, and people having problems with REVO, none are perfect.

I don't have a CAI, but have replaced my filter with a Pipercross filter in the standard airbox, a REVO Stage 2 pipe (between the air box and the turbo) also fitted the Forge boost pipes/silicon hoses and Audi R8 coil packs/harder spark plugs. Haven't experienced any flat spots and it revs freely up to 4500. Never felt the need to go higher, in fact rarely go over 4000.

Superchips is probably the mildest remap, APR look good, but put off by people I know in the States, who have had problems, REVO seems a bit aggressive for my driving style.

My bluefin is for sale in the MK6 classifieds area. Was great on my MK6 DSG. They even tweeked the file for me after I complained the horsepower increase wasn't that good. The new file they sent was brilliant. Torque was around 280ish lbs ft and around 250-260hp. If they did one for the mk7 I would have bought one by now.

Are you talking about RPM? Surely not.....

The best way to get rid of carbon build up is by giving it the beans at least a couple of times a week. Thats what the redline is for, to stop just before it

I totally get that. I was driving my Mk2 at the weekend and even on a spirited drive, I was changing up way before 5,000 rpm, even tho' it was just coming on song. A lot of it was to with in the back of my mind, the old girl is 25 years old and appreciates some mechanical sympathy.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Yeah I can understand in the MK2, but there is no way you should be changing up that early in MK6, you are doing it an injustice, it loves to be driven hard. I often feel my car would thank me after a spirited drive, like "Cheers for giving me a pounding mate, I really enjoyed it"
