It is indeed the 'full beans' button.
The car is pretty much designed to be ordered with all the electronics gizmos so they can all work homegeonously together. This button is really designed for people tootling about with DSG boxes with ACC engaged letting the car do it's own thing who suddenly require full acceleration getting the box to kick down from top gear to where it can provide max acceleration (when you come up against a group of cyclists who think they're on the Tour de France and all bunched up on a busy A road waiting for a lorry to splatter them, or a dawdling traaaaactor, or someone with one of those new Citroens with a mattress stapled to the doors that think they will use the tank of fuel it came with for the whole ten years they own the car thus never getting above 20mph ever) in a situation where the clever computers can't (yet) overrule the driver.
Unfortunately us manual drivers have to suffer the stupid switch as well.
