Golf R Gloss black mirror option

[lowdown]

Does anyone know if you can choose black mirrors instead chrome.  I was on carwow.com and it indicated you could but can't see it on the official VW list or configurator.

Configurator is useless - its a 'no cost option' for the R only - its in the printed/PDF Golf pricelist brochure:

Performance Audis and VWs are supposed to have silver mirror caps. In fact I think they are most fetching and look absolutely spiffing with my vibrant Tornado Red paint.

The only colour I don't think the silver does anything for is white, and perhaps Limestone Grey.  If I was getting a white car, I definitely spec the black gloss mirrors.

Not at all.   Unlike you M.Ex, I don't get easily bored by cars    Me and my delicious Mk6 will have been together 3 long years by the time we part.  I realise that's an aeon to you in car ownership terms 

Seriously, I actually like the brushed silver accents, on most of the R colours, including DBP, but there may come a time when I feel the need to look über stealth
