Irish Orders
« on: 16 March 2015, 19:09 »
Hi guys,
I'm wondering if any of the Irish lads here or even any of the resident experts know if southern Irish orders are on the same time scale as the UK ones or does it all depend on your own countries orders. I understand that we are all in the same factory but unsure if country affects orders.
I ordered a 5 door, reflex silver, DSG,PP on Friday last and hope to pick it up on july 1st when the Irish plates change.

Thanks in advance.

Yup, ordered PP 5dr carbon grey with winter pack, tech and service packs were free.  I bought in Frank Keanes and was told average delivery is 10 weeks.

Strange how it's only 10 weeks in Ireland but the UK is about 16 weeks. Must be something to do with the higher standard spec of UK models.

Thanks for the replies lads, I think the current spec in Ireland is good as the tech pack is free (sat nav, not the pro one, reversing camera, high beam assist and iphone connection) not sure if UK spec has that or not. Looking forward to getting it.

agreed. the std spec of an irish gti/gtd is now on a par if not better than the uk model.bi xenons, tech pack as described above, three years service pack all standard fare at the moment.

@damo. should look the business in reflex silver , have,nt seen any gti,s in that colour here yet.

Bri,
I was torn between reflex silver and CSG and saw them parked side by side in frank Keanes in Liffey valley, picked the silver. The red badges on the pp silver one were cool.

What's the service pack in Ireland, no mention of that in my deal?

three years/45000km free servicing . first 3 services are free basically.its was included on orders placed before end of november 2014 . i had thought vw irl had continued this after that date though? maybe not?
