New guy saying hello and looking for GTI dsg
« on: 10 March 2015, 15:12 »
Hey guys, just thought I'd say a quick hello. I'm currently driving a 2007 Audi TT 3.2 and looking to change to a Mk6 Gti. I've been having a look over old posts and you all seem a friendly enough bunch so hello

I'm surprised that there don't seem to be many suitable cars on the market at the moment. And what I have seen do seem to be very expensive - some of the 2012 dsg cars aren't priced too far off the Mk7 gti prices  If prices are at that level I may have to consider going for a 2010 Audi S3 S tronic which seems much better priced in comparison... considering it's a better  car.

In case anyone is thinking about selling some time soon, I'm looking for something along the following lines:

At least a 2010 or newer car. 3 or 5 door considered
Must be DSG
Any colour considered... except white (which does seem to limit choices as it's very much an 'in' colour at the mo)
Leather seats
Would be nice to have parking sensors and nav but not essential

Anywho I'll leave things there or now and I'm sure I'll be bugging you guys with more questions down the line

Rebecca must be busy, otherwise she would have been telling you about her car by now.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Yes Simon I was busy.  It was parent consultation evening at daughter's school, slightly more important than flogging a car

Welcome to the forum logit

It's not in the classifieds yet, but am looking to sell my mk6 GTI this summer as I'm moving over to a mk7 R which is currently on order.

Spec is:

2012 '62 plate GTI with currently 24,600 miles on the clock.
5 door
DSG
Deep Black Pearl
Leather (with heated seats)
Adaptive Chassis Control (ACC)
19" Glendale Alloys
Dynaudio
RCD 510 with DAB
Built-in Bluetooth
Bi-xenon headlights with Daytime Running Lights
LED rear lights
Highline colour multifunction display
Multifunction steering wheel
Storage Pack

No sat nav but RNS 510 unit is relatively inexpensive and easy to retrofit.  No parking sensors, but who needs them anyway.

It''s got full VW Service History, has been owned by me from new.  Mechanically sound, never had any warranty work required or carried out.  Only ever been hand washed and detailed by me.

Looks like a great example Rebecca.... but I don't think I can wait until the summer to get a Mk6  If you decide you want to get rid now I'd definitely be interested

I am really looking to sell a little later in the year but will let you know if that changes.

Looks like you're drumming up some more interest

Thanks for the offer jedi but I really want one with leather - not a fan of the retro cloth interior  :undecided:

Ah that's a shame rebecca. I'm sure it will sell quickly when the time comes.
