not sure, the module is supposed to be compatable with all phones. The bloke who did the coding for me has had an idea and we are going to try that tomorrow, if that doesnt work I will try another bluetooth module in my car and my module in another car

I assume you have connected the mic? and placed it in the overhead console? Did you route the mic through the headset or bypass it straight to the Bluetooth module with the wiring. Usually there are some wiring plugs on the Bluetooth loom at the back of the radio. They may need tweaking.

Yep ran the mic to the overhead light, its part of the loom and goes into the quad lock into the back of the head unit

Some radios need the mic connecting to the radio, others it connects into the module.

The kit that I bought had the option of plugging it into either. It was a long time ago, so I can't remember which mine plugged into (was a RCD510, now a RNS510) but the first time I tried it it didn't work. Plugged it into the other socket and it did.

Its the A/B and C/D are inter changeable, I believe in this example the C connector leads straight to the Bluetooth module, D is the MIC.

So A will be mic in and B mic out from the RNS315.

So you can either connect C to D which is direct MIC to the Bluetooth.

OR

connect A to D and C to B which passes the mic through the head unit.

Mic is only connected to the RNS 315 if its got Bluetooth built in, otherwise connect to the Bluetooth module.

Thanks for that! My loom is slightly different than that as it is just a fixed loom and doesn't have the changeable leads to the bluetooth module.

So I need to wire the mic to the bluetooth module like in your diagram but need to know which wire is which or which pin is which and sort some bullet crimps out

This might help if its the same as a RNS315, could you not push the MIC pins out of the radio connector and join them together

Also I believe the pin outs are on a label on the top of the radio itself.

This might be correct.
