Quick question dubber.  As the car belongs to your mum in law, what does she want?  Does she want max money from a sale to put towards another car or something else or isn't she bothered?  Would she like it to 'stay in the family'?

Btw I hope she wasn't hurt in the accident in the Octavia.

End of the day if I had the space and money to buy a few cars and let them sit, a MK1 MX5 and a MK2 Golf would be on the list to be sat there well looked after in the heated garage for years and I'd let me kids sell em.

Why the hell not?

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.

She can't bear the thought of a salesman rubbing his hands having got his hands on a peach of a car for very little px value. She has a attachment to this car and would like to see it go to someone else that would appreciate it, but obviously want's a decent price for it. Her husband is a Yorkshireman, so he'll influence the decision too  They are not looking at brand new cars, so the purchase of another one isn't dependent on the sale of the Mazda.

Neither of them were hurt in the Skoda accident thank you, but it has had an effect or her, triggering issues that came about following a different type of accident 15 years ago.

Are you prepared to give her a decent price then or will it be 'mate's rates'?  Then again maybe not if there's a thrifty Yorkshireman involved.  Yorkshirewomen on the other hand are known for their warmth and generosity

There's not likely to be any 'mates rates'. Nor would I expect there to be in this instance.

Nah, can't go short changing the in laws.

What colour is the car?  So, is it going to be red golf; green golf and...MX5?
