If speed is not your thing then why buy a GTi. I've seen some lovely mk2 CL's for sale that are a lot cheaper than it's GTi equivalent and less likely to have been ragged, or if you must have the trim then a nice golf driver. Don?t come on here saying that you?re not a proper enthusiast just because I like to drive fast sometimes. And no I'm not a true mk2 enthusiast, I am a VW enthusiast.

Well all's that I can say is..I get in my 8v on a nice sunny morning (it hates the rain)and I head out to the nice twistest country roads by ours and have a feeckin blast. ;DThere is nothin out there 2 beat it..So it is not just about speed..It is pure enjoyment.. ..My car is 15yrs old and still takes the p*ss out of these new cars with there traction control blah blah blah..Give me a gti any day..

Got 2 agree with U there.. .Me old Mexico was a blast..and so was me 628i beama..But the 8v around the bends..WOW..The car just looks and feels the part..THERE IS NOTHIN OUT THERE 2 BEAT IT..

Short
