Golf MK4 Dash Removal???
« on: 09 September 2014, 20:27 »
Need some advice on removing my dash.

I have a nice new flocked dash ready to install. I have seen videos on how to remove the vents. light switches ect ect. but I have not been able to find any advice on removing the dash totally.

Do i need to remove the steering wheel? if so what method is best and what should i do about the airbag? Also what about the passenger side airbag?

Is there any guides to removing a full dash?

Thanks!

The steering wheel needs to be removed. You can remove the airbag without disconnecting the battery but when your fitting the airbag back in always disconnect the battery

Complete ballache, when we did the Skoda Octavia to replace the heater matrix it took around 4 hours to get the dash out, Golf mk4 will be the same, a lot of the bolts are hidden.
