Fitted a K04 hybrid on AGU now over boosting to hell
« on: 04 September 2014, 21:49 »
Hi all, Ive got a hybrid K04 fitted and I'm getting it mapped next week, took it for a little drive to bead brakes in as they are all new and booted it just to see what boost level was, I won't be doing again as it went off my guage (over 2 bar) needles to say it span both wheel on third gear(LSD)

My question is, could this be some thing I may have done even though I'm positive the n75 is piped up correct as I marked it up, the actuator has a 3 turn preload, or will this be turned down on the map, I remember nick@ rtech saying he left a aggressive map on from when I was having boost issues with my old turbo, could it be in the map, as obviously a k03s can only boost 1.6 bar max so it wasn't going to Super boost....

Not true, when I was having issues my K03s boosted over 1.7 bar
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

if it has a 1bar actuator like most k04 hybrids i've seen, i'd say that's normal behaviour with an aggressive map written for a k03s. unplug the n75 and stay off boost until its mapped to suit the new turbo
