It's not a cheap way of resurfacing roads, it's means is to protect the existing road surface from the elements while at the same time raises friction values. Yeah there is a tempory inconvenience but the process is much quicker than resurfacing so roads are closed for less time.

Yeah that's fantastic.....

Although for us bikers it is an absolute nightmare, it's horrendous to ride on. Especially in the countryside, have to be very careful with throttle and braking else you end up all over the place

No way this stuff should ever be used, too dangerous

Just be careful then. The loose surface is only temporary anyway. Stops the roads from melting in the summer and cracking due to ice in the winter. Long term it means less pot holes and less wear and tear.

Buy a new car or get yours resprayed and see if you have the same views on these roads. Its not temporary.  The loose stones get flicked up for weeks. My mate got 4 stone chips in his screen from a lorry on the other side and that was after a week!
