Urgent lock housing removal help!
« on: 21 October 2003, 10:02 »
Can anyone tell me how to remove the housing around the steering column that holds the lock cylinder and ignition/starter switch? I have removed the steering wheel and switches but cannot remove the housing unit for some reason. Cannot see what is holding it on. Any help welcome!

Cheers

measure 12mm and 10mm down the barrel from the casting mark. Now drill a 3mm hole. Get it right and the barrel pops out.

Need to get the housing for the barrel off the steering column, not the actual barrel Dizzie. Cheers for help though!

oh. isn't there 2 6mm allen bolts underneath. once they're undone the alloy bit should slide off providing you have removed all the bits in the way like wheel and stalks. I can't think of anything else in the way at the mo.
