I had a quote a few months ago from abt. I think your talking around £1800 and it's a add on module!!

Wow £1800 way to much, I'll probably go for Apr, if I run the car on 95ron it will lower the bhp& torque to kept the wife happy.

Got mine on 95 RON.  Incidentally REVO have just released theirs, which has a little less torque according to their figures...

Detectable at the factory it said on there, who knows.  Time will tell.  If anyone is really bothered then we shouldn't even be thinking about a remap!

GTI with Stage 1 APR vs Stock Golf R

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_DgkFijk-M&feature=youtu.be

Without sounding stupid. Which one is the R and which is the GTI? It's very confusing.

The camera car sounds like the R but the other car has tinted R lights. It's too dark to see the exhaust on the front car but I'm hoping the GTI is in front as it should be due to having a ton more torque.

Mathematically speaking how would a car with 300BHP & 380NM of Torque with a heavy 4 wheel drive system beat a lighter GTI with 310BHP & 488NM of torque ale specially on a rolling start like the one above where the 4 wheel drive system is contributing nothing to the R apart from weighing it down.

Yes. Assuming both cars start at same speed, gear & rpm then the gti will win. I assumed the white car is the gti & they wanted to highlight the fact that in this specific case the gti is quicker than the R. Maybe I'm imagining it but the bonnet of the camera car looks lapis bluish?

The car that wins is the GTI, they aren't R lights from what I can see (I have them on my GTI and they are not as red as that video shows).  As you say the sound is the raspy R sound.
