hi all

after a lot of light-less nights, osram xenarcs have finally arrived to replace the dead OEM ones.  I can very easily take out the driver-side one and replace it.  Can anyone help on how to replace the passenger-side one though?  I can 'unlock' the OEM one from its place but there is not enough room to take it out altogether since there's a box full of fuses right behind the headlight that pretty much blocks space.

Any help much appreciated

thanks

no that doesn't cut it.  removing the airbox only frees space to replace the signal bulb, not the headlight one.  That is blocked by that fuse box... anyone else??

Hi

I'm sure that you have to loosen the headlamp unit and pull it forward slightly.

I would mark how the headlamp is currently aligned so that you can put it back to the same line.

When I changed mine I just removed the fuse box, it was fairly simple if I remember.

I don't remember having to loosen the light, just remember there is a screw at the bottom of the light which you can't get at unless you remove the bumper, so too much movement with only the top ones removed will break the bracket at the bottom.

removing the fuse box was my initial thought. Do you remember specifics?  any precautions i need to be aware of?

Just as long as you disconnect the negative battery terminal

I think there is a multipin plug holding two halves of the fuse box together.

I have the details at home but I wont be back there for 5 or 6 hours..
