Parking sensors

All done by main dealer, part located under scuttle panel. Need to remove wipers and wiper motor to gain access. Vw independant quote was dearer  .

Hi there sorry to drag this up having the same problem, put it in reverse and a long chime and light flashing, also press the park assist button to be met with the message " park assist defective workshop"

I've put my ear over each sensor and all seem to be clicking, therefore working ??

Could it be this h22 chime thing or do I need it stuck on the diagnostics ??

You need to plug in and see what error code is present, does sound the same as mine, but it could be a sensor failure. I paid a VW independent to plug in, but if you know someone with the ability to do it for a small charge, then at least you know what you are dealing with. Know I know where it is then you could do yourself knowing that the part is less than £20
