Hi im hoping some one could shine some light on this for me!
I had a 06a906018r ecu in my golf, i bought a remap chip and messed up the install rendering my ecu usless and myself with no car! I was told to buy a new ecu and get it immo deleted! Running on 2 cylinders and will only idle if maf is unplugged! I have swapped coils and plugs but no change! Car ran perfect last week! Can someone advise if this would be due to a incompatible ecu or even if you can tell me if another ecu is even compatible of being installed like i was told  please help me :o i have no car and ran out of ideas

Hi, the most likely problem is that the replacement ecu is no good, did the bloke who removed the immobilizer bench test it?

Current cars 1995 Golf gti colour concept 2.0 8v 156,000 miles. bmw 316 1.9 129,000. yeah, life's good!

018CL is for a non turbo 1.8 20v. Depending on the chip type you might be able to clone a 1.8T ecu on to it, but its easier just to get the right ECU. No need to remove the immobiliser you can code AGU ecus to work with vagcom in 2 minutes, no pin codes or logins needed.

As above,  sooo easy to code immo 2 AGU ECU's in with VCDS.

Too many of these I can do anything to any ECU people about these days. :(
