When I put my GTI up next to the one a friend is using (leased) last week it was noticeable that 'his' had loose rear spoiler sides and yet mine is stuck fast one side but has a slight bit of play the other (nearside).
Also noticeable was that his 14 plate car in the same colour as mine had more swirls too so maybe it is something to do with the cleaning regime as my car gets frequent delicate washes and that car gets 'valeted' by company funded car cleaners.
Both cars were supplied by the same dealer interestingly and both were on the same mileage.
Mine is six months old and the 14 plate is only weeks old yet mine was in very noticeably superior condition despite the 14 plate GTI getting very regular cleaning.
