1.8t aum low rev surge between 1500 2500k

As above, does anyone else get this sometimes? If it doesn't surge it'll be a flat spot instead, sometimes it'll fine but other times it'll do that,  cheers

worth checking for any fault codes firstly as this can be one or two different things

Got the 17705 code but it comes at goes, I've replaced my maf sensor (genuine) because when I disconnect it, the car won't surge or anything when I replaced it, everything was good for a day or to and it's doing it again so I replaced it again on Tuesday and it's doing it again now so it can't be that, I just thought its strange why it doesn't do it when the maf is disconnected?

Mine does it alot no idea what it is as I have no codes coming up. It is annoying though occasionally the mrs thinks I boot it and gives the "look" I dont think she believes me that its actually the car

Haha, yeah same here mate! Somedays it worse than others, and sometimes it won't do it at all, must be a leak somewhere but Finding leaks is a nightmare! :)

It could be a boost/vac leak although it shouldn't really be boosting before 2.5k

Finally someone with the same problem! That's the exact same thing that happens to me, disconnect your maf and try, mine won't do it with it disconnected, it will put your traction control light on as well as engine management light, I've tried the best I can to look for a leak but all the hoses are like new,

If you unplug your MAF and the running improves then your MAF is probably faulty.

I get the same kind of thing but only in first gear. Sometimes the slightest pressure on the throttle and it shoots through the revs other times it's flat with no power! Baffled!!
