 i take iv failed. maths is one thing i never learnt at school and never want to learn it.
I learnt three (aweek ago) mean, median and mode but dont see when im ever going to use it in life. You can get through life just knowing basic maths. I will work on percentage and fractions and see how it goes next time.

If you've ever known the 'average' of something. You've used either mean, median or mode.

Lets say someone asks you how long it takes you to drive to work. You know it takes usually takes 20 minutes in normal traffic. But it took two hours one time when someone binned it and the road was shut, and 10 minutes when you were late and driving at 1 lepton.

You say "20 minutes". You've just used the mode of all the previous times you've driven to work. (ie most common time becuase you discard the outliers)

If you've ever split a restaurant bill. You will have probably worked out the mean amount that everyone spent (ie split it equally).

So the point i'm getting at is:

You probably use it every day.

Mean, median and mode is basic maths

And is great way of f**king people over when buying rounds, especially if a few are a bit geeky and the others don't get it.
