MPG - problem or 'normal'

I filled up the other week and managed to get 280 miles out of a full tank.... mixed driving, Now I do know that my pre cat sensor is buggered so I will be changing that soon, but it just seems low to me  :undecided:
anyone else know roughly what they get with the same/similar spec

ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

My spec is pretty similar to yours and I struggle to get more than 280 miles mixed driving. Even a full tank on the motorway doesn't see more than 330ish.

I get around 240 mixed and 330ish motorway

I done ipswich to Norwich and back on a full tank, maxed at 42.1mpg at the end of the trip, went just under the full marker, I'm dreading a remap lol

An R32 may see slightly more than a 1.8T cruising in 6th on the motorway, but most other driving it won't.

I can't believe you petrol lot get such crappy miles out of a tank full. If I don't get 550 out of a tank I'm disappointed. I regularly see 600+ with a max of 630 miles.

I don't see how I could ever afford to run a petrol car these days.

Mine's running 185bhp/320ft/lb so very able if you want it to be :)
