Does anyone use FK dampers? Under £85 a set!
« on: 20 April 2014, 17:50 »
I am over hauling all suspension on my 1.8t FWD. Already have OE hight Sachs springs to go on. Was planning Bilstein B4's at £180 a set. But I have just seen the below for £ 85 posted from Germany.

Tuning FK Automotive | Shock absorbers separately

All TUV approved. Said to be 30% up rated.

Does anyone have experience of FK? Or is this tat I should avoid?

It's either these or the Bilstein b4's. These are less than half the price.
I know the b4's are tried and tested. Also I'm not sure if the shortened dampers will work with OE length springs

FK are fairly cheap, in the sense of they are cheap and feel it.

Go Bilstein B4 or Monroe Reflex....

Just fitted these on my car great for the price but you have to drill out the support top mount a couple mill for these to fit through

Based on the update I've just seen from Daz I'd avoid them :undecided:

As an FK dealer (and i have used this brands shocks on a few of my cars), part FKZZVW41 is currently out of stock. Should be back available in 14 days and I can do them for same money (saves having to deal with Germany!)

Can you get the rear support top mounts that actually fit on these shocks ? Rather than have to drill the standered 1s
