Anyone running a RAMAIR induction kit?
« on: 17 April 2014, 10:13 »
As per title, is anyone running this kit:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Golf-MK4-1-8-T-1999-Onwards-RAMAIR-Induction-Filter-Kit-/350631513299?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Plat_Gen%3AMK+IV%7CModel%3AGolf&hash=item51a3444cd3

If so, any feedback?

My S2000 filter was disgustingly dirty and after speaking to Matt@OCD his supplier has discontinued the red/black filters so I'm looking for a foam replacement.

Have ECP stopped selling them now? That's where I got my red and black one from
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

At the end of the day it's hidden in the bay, I've messed with so many different types of filters I'm happy with the S2000 one now as it seems to give the best gains for me

Mine is massive, I personally rang Ramair and spoke to Ryan, he was extremely helpful and all in all it cost me £60 delivered with the reducer, it sounds great and I was told it will hold up to 310bhp and i can have any color been in my car for about a year and a half I defo felt a throttle response after fitting this.

I think mine is the same as Nino's as mine looks the same size. You can really hear it sucking in the air! It is an absolutely amazing filter. If you get one it is best to leave a cold air feed on it, or the slandered 1.8t snorkel, especially if your car is remapped!
Mods: R-Tech custom remap, Beachbuggy K250 Turbo, Forge 007 DV, RAMAIR Jetstream 108 induction filter, silicone piping throughout, R-Tech Supersize TIP, 42 Draft Stealth Catch Can, N249 bypass, Ported Manifold, Toyo Sports FMIC with 2 & 1/2 pipes, Custom made full turbo back exhaust & 2 & 1/2 " downpipe and 200 cell sports cat. BAM injectors, Turbosmart Boost Gauge, BBS CK Wheels, 312mm Brembo front discs and pads, Carbon canister delete and last of all, a liquid cube!
