Been looking at the revo. It's over £400!

Yeah its the best, but I wouldnt buy it brand new, I never buy any parts brand new. Think i got mine for £175

but that's the one that falls apart

twin take does not work properly on the Mk6 GTI so forge never officially released it

Funny that because the revo garage just round the corner from me, the guy couldn't stop going on about it saying its the best intake on the market with an increase of 25bhp just from the intake

Lool what a joker. It causes all kinds of dead / flat spots. I would rather have the standard airbox in than the Forge Twin Takes. Maybe he was talking about MK5 platform. But 25bhp is all in his dreams

Im sure forges new one will be good, but very expensive.

and @ Wigit - Thats the only one ive ever seen fall apart, Neil must have been doing some crazy stuff or washed it with a cleaner that degrades the glue. Still best intake in my humble opinion

Nope never removed it or washed it, just lifted the bonnet one day and it was laid there,
Revo have a known issue with these but now they are sorted, they replaced mine straight away with no issues, great filter compared to the Carbonio I had fitted, may be a bit noisy for some, not a loud induction roar, more a loud sucking noise but that's maybe to do with the k04 ?
Mk6 Gti Gone but not forgtten
Loving the 7R

I love the sound of the intake, as I want the loudest with the biggest potential gains I think I will end up going down the revo route

Rocket Ross you say the forge intake is expensive (the open cone one like the revo) from forge it's £299 and that comes with the stage 2 pipe work as well I believe, compared with the carbonio intake with stage two pipe it's nearly £450 or the VWR system at the same sorta price the forge doesn't seam to bad.

Does the revo take come with the stage two pipe work as well as I've seen it in the pics but it's also advertised on its own?

Yeah it does come with stage 2 pipe - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Golf-mk6-2-0-GTI-Scirocco-TSI-Pipercross-induction-intake-air-filter-kit-k-n-/161206665783?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Plat_Gen%3AMK+VI&hash=item2588aa8237

Same as the revo but with pipercross branding :)

Currently Standard !!
