:undecided: i would be wondering that too,I'm guessing its joining two pieces of vac pipe or its been split and bodged up

The orientation of the DV is the 'wrong' way it gives a loud cherp noise rather than a psch. I would fit it the other 'right' way because regardless what Forge say there is plenty on the net about people having issues with them fitted the 'wrong' way
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

You would be correct in thinking that it's a bodge job! It was a potential vacuum leak, so I decided to black tape it, until the new silicon hosing comes.
Also, could someone direct me to the 'correct' way of fitting a DV?

Thanks, Mo

It seems it's fitted both ways with people giving different reasons for fitting it in different orientation. I've tried fitting it both ways with no difference in sound, boost or overall feel of the car. I think I'll be rotating mine around so the charge pipe feeds to the side of the diverter valve, purely for aesthetics.

An update -  cut the silicone hosing back from where it's taped up, it wasnt that, that was causing the problem.

Once again, could someone direct me to a guide on how to 'correctly' fit a dump valve / recirculation valve?

Thanks, Mo

It seems you're assuming the diverter valve is the cause of your engine problems and that a standard car might not have had the same problems you're experiencing. It's probably more effective to do a diagnostic and maybe a boost leak test.

Nino it's an AGU so no N249 lol

Take your DV off and swap the two hoses around that are connected to it

At the moment your DV is sat horizontally, you need to take it out of both pipes and turn it vertically with the blue silicone pipe connecting at the top
